Getting Started

Getting Started with NFCord

How It Works

Your NFCord card uses NFC (Near Field Communication) technology – the same tech used in contactless payments. It allows you to instantly share your digital business profile with just a tap.

  • Inside your card is a passive NFC chip – no battery needed.
  • When someone taps the card near their smartphone, the link to your profile opens automatically.
  • The other person doesn’t need an app – just NFC enabled on their phone.

You can share:

  • Digital business cards
  • Portfolios or websites
  • Social media accounts
  • Contact details and more
No apps, no charging. Just tap and connect.

How To Set Up Your NFCord Card

Step 1: Scan Your NFCord Card

Place your NFCord card near the back of your smartphone (where the NFC sensor is usually located).

  • Most phones detect it automatically.
  • If nothing happens, enable NFC in phone settings.
  • Tip: Remove thick phone cases if signal is blocked.

Step 2: Download the NFC Tools App

You’ll need a free app called NFC Tools to write your digital link onto the card:

Download for Android
Download for iOS

Once installed:

  • Open the NFC Tools app
  • Tap “Write”

Step 3: Create Your Digital Profile

Choose a platform to create your digital business card. Many free and paid options are available on the App Store and Google Play:

  • HiHello
  • Linktree
  • Tapni
  • Dot
  • ...and many more!

Feel free to explore and choose what fits your personal brand. You’re not locked into just one platform!

Step 4: Write Your Link to the Card

After creating your profile, copy the link (URL) and:

  1. Open NFC Tools
  2. Go to "Write" → "Add a record" → "URL/URI"
  3. Paste your digital profile link
  4. Tap “Write” and hold the card to the phone

You’ll see a confirmation when the link is successfully written.

Your NFCord card is now ready to impress – just tap and connect!
